beastmaster said:I assume you are graduating soon. Find yourself a nice $30k/year research assistant position or equivalent, or a high paying job if that's available. You may consider oseopathic medical school, it is full of californians with your stats who were very unlucky in the application process as well. Do something productive with your time.

I've seen your stats, I would be very surprised if you didn't make it. To me, you seem like exactly the kind of student they should be looking for.

Sorry you didn't get in this year -- but I'm sure you will if you stay motivated. I don't know if you should do an SMP -- it's a huge financial investment and your grades aren't that low. You may be ok with just taking upper division science at a state school (like 2-3 classes per semester) and getting a clinical research assistant job (since you say you're more interested in that then lab stuff). If you're in Cali, I recommend SF State. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. I had to do both, a post bacc at state and an SMP to get in (but my numbers were worse). PM me if you want and good luck.

You applied broadly, you followed up, I just don't understand--given your circumstance how you could have done it any better? Any suggestions?
