This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
thank you sir for the info again.

i am below their gpa stats but avove their dat avgs. i hope my interview go well there.

man i am getting nervous now. i have 14 days left b4 my interview at Indiana and its gonna be a long 3 days trip there.

i am just wondering how i am going to do my PBL session there. i interview the 1st day, then will be put with a group of 14 others and be presented with a PBL case.
our job would be to go and research it, then do a presentation on it the next day.

i will have a laptop to use for my overnight research, but just wondering aphistis will i have any other resources available to me you think? (like the IU library or something).

You'll be fine, and of course you'll have the library and everything therein at your disposal. The biggest thing to do is not freak out about excelling at the PBL case. It's 100% for your own benefit; it's not affecting your admissions decision in the slightest. Go out and take a look at Indianapolis while you're here. Once again, good luck 😀

Thank you very much for these stats, it helps us when we are evaulating where to apply.

Perfect,

I'd be worried if you weren't nervous! It shows that you really want this, and you take this interview opportunity seriously. I went to an interview at Temple last year, and one guy showed up late and it was clear that he really didn't want to be there (ie he kept looking at his watch). Out of the whole group, he was not nervous at all (he was accepted to another school and Temple was not among his top choices). We all exchanged emails after the day to keep in touch. Needless to say, he didnt get accepted or even offered a waitlist. So being nervous isn't the worst thing in the world. If anything, it will show the admin officers that you consider this a life changing experience, and you are 100% dedicated to pursuing dentistry.

You'll do great!

thank you aphistis and dentaldream for your opinionss and continued help.

you are very right dentaldream. i guess i am nervous because IU is my 1st choice and the thought of screwing in the last part of the admission (interview) is terrifying.

the only thing that keeps me a little calm is that i'll be with a bunch of others and one way or another we will figure out what we would need to do. i hope everyone else get interviews and ultimately accepted to their number choices.

good luck everyone!
