Is either IVP or conventional CT contraindicated in a patient with acute pyelonephritis and which one is more harmful to the damaged kidney?
Is there anyway to tell??
Pretty confident neither is contraindicated. Less confident but I think IVP is rougher on the kidneys, and I think it has to do with volume of contrast used compared to CT. Not 100% on that last one.
