Hey--
I was wondering... for those of you who have some experience with this kind of thing... How much practice did you do before you score increased?? Did it increase slowly?? Did it jump up suddenly??

I am taking the test in August and have done 2 diagnostics....
Kaplan 1: PS - 11, V - 9, BS - 9
Kaplan 4: PS - 11, V - 11, BS - 10

Now, I am happy with these scores this early... BUT MAN would it be great to increase each section by a point before the real test!! Do you think that is possible?? Likely?? I have only been studying for about 3 weeks now... Should I be expecting improvement so soon?? Just want to get an idea...

I did all of my improving in the first month. On the Kaplan diagnostic I got a 23. Kaplan FL 1 I moved up to a 31. From there on I just hovered around there and couldn't go up even though I kept studying and practicing. On the real thing I ended up with a 32. This, however is not typical. Most people continue to improve slightly and diminish the possibility of hitting a low score if a weak spot of yours in on a specific test.

My improvement was kinda funky...
Kaplan diagnostic: 26
Full length 1: 29
Full length 2: 34 (this is what happens when I actually attempt to answer physics questions instead of being scared)
Full length 3: 34
Full length 4: 31 (sick 🙁)
Full length 5: 32 (sick of taking full lengths)
Real thing: 35 (after reading the 800 pages of Kaplan review notes during the two nights before the exam)

So I guess my greatest improvement came from just attempting all the questions instead of blindly guessing. But I did improve my scores just from attending the Kaplan classes for a few months.

Kaplan Diagnostic = 27 (V9/P9/B9) [+0] {out of school for 11 years, but in the middle of 1st semester back taking microbiology and physiology}
AAMC 3R = 27 (V9/P9/B9) [+0] {same as Kaplan, taken around same time}
AAMC 4R = 29 (V9/P10/B10) [+2] {middle of studying for MCAT}
AAMC 5R = 34 (V10/P12/B12) [+7] {almost at end of studying for MCAT}
April 2006 MCAT = 33 (V10/P10/B13) [+6]

THis is a great thread guys. Keep em' comin!! Anybody out there start off with a lower diagnostic (as in teens) and get 30+ on the real thing?

Kaplan Diag: 21
FL 1: 24
FL 2: 27
FL 3: 31 **Started making flashcards...reason for improvement
FL 4: 30
FL 5: 32

Real Thing: 32

Kaplan 5: PS - 11, V - 10, BS - 12

Ok. This is an improvement in BS. Verbal is not totally stable. Depends on the passages I get. I felt the verbal in this test was really tough. I have spent more time on PS than anything else and have been flat line at 11. Any advice?

took only about 1 or 2 full lengths before i hit a 30 from a 22. took an AAMC, boosted my confidence, raised it around a consistent 32. 31S on the real thing.

Can someone please let me know to what scores do these raw scores translate to (Kaplan Full length 1)
