So I am taking the Jan 2012 MCAT to study I brought ExamKrackers Complete Study Set, all the 101 and 1001, osmosis and AAMC pratice tests. My plan is to do one lecture a week and when I am done with Fall semester.I want to take it slow so I can absorb the material. Dec 19 Do the Ek 1001's until Jan 20. I am looking for a study partner. I attend FAU and live in the Palm Beach area or a cyberstudypartner. If anyone thinks I should add material or change my study plan please leave a comment.

Hey, just read this post by chance and saw you go to FAU also lol... Some of the teachers there are pretty awesome and the campus is changing for the better. The football stadium and gym are nice additions.

I read both the ExamKracker series and the Princeton Review books. I prefer the Princeton Review books as they are much more thorough than the ExamKracker books. Since you are preparing now I feel it would be more beneficial to you to take a look at the princeton series. You will have an ample amount of time to fully understand all the extra information presented in the princeton books.

Your study plan seems alright, the only short sight I see though is the ExamKracker 101 series for the Biology and Verbal reasoning. I think you are going to be done a bit early with those books if you do a test a week. I think there's 10 tests in the biology book and 14 tests in the verbal reasoning book.

With attempting the 1001 series it is best to understand the material then attempt the questions. The questions in the 1001 series will really help you prepare for those free standing questions.

I am interested in MCAT study group or partner for January 2012 test. I can start studying until the end of August. I am using the Kaplan Study Material.

I am taking it next month (August). If I don't do good, I will PM you so I can be in your study group. I also live in Palm Beach in the vecinity of FAU.

Hi 🙂 I am also taking the MCAT in Jan, Im using mostly EK but also have a PR book for Physics, I seriously need a virtual study partner

I have all of the same study material as well. How are ya'll going to go about studying? Do you mean one chapter from one book a week or one chapter from each subject a week?

I am reading one book at a time, some people mix it (EK has a home study guide online) cause they claim mixing helps them remember more.

I am doing one ch a week.

i'm retaking the mcat. i took last september and got 13,7, 9. i started reading through kaplan premier. i finished a huge part of general chem, half of bio. i'll start with general phys, and orgo soon. i don't know if i'll read the exam krackers cz it's detailed, takes time, and includes material that is not tested in the mcat. i'll then start practicing passages. i'll reserve one month and a half for solving practice tests.

I have all the same materials- examkrakers complete series and the 1001 questions. I would like a virtual study partner also for the Jan 2012 exam. How are you guys meeting and when?

I joined the skype group that is studying, but I wanted to see if anyone else is doing virtual studying, or in the Seattle area? I am taking an online course, and I get no where staring at the screen for hours.
