I was not planning on applying this year, but now I am wondering if I should give it a shot.
I have a 3.88 cGPA, 3.95 sGPA, research, a good number of shadowing and volunteer hours. I have NOT taken the MCAT and I am registered to take it in January. Is it POSSIBLE is be admitted for Fall 2014. I noticed that a small number of schools have a March 1st and 15th deadline. I know it would long shot. Give it a try or just wait?

What's your hurry?

Chances will be better when you can apply broadly. So aim for Jun '14 application. You can then work for a year and save some money.

I think it is possible if you are an strong applicant.

Most of the schools I have talked to indicated that the last MCAT they would accept for Fall 14 would need to be taken in September 2013.

If you're a strong applicant (pending your MCAT) you'll have a much better chance at getting into your choice of school next cycle rather than settling for whoever has any spots left.

The schools probably won't seriously consider your app until your MCAT scores come back in mid February, and by then it's cutting it too close to the deadline.

Save your $$, there's no rush.

Possible. If you have the cash flow and a nearby school which may show some regional bias love: go for it.
