Does Jefferson interview anyone with a score below '8' on any 1 sub-score? (i.e. 12, 12, 6)

Thr rumor mill has always said that Jefferson has an unpublished cutoff at 8 for all sections. However, I don't think anyone knows for sure. Maybe try searching MD apps.

In 2003 someone (non-URM) claims to have gotten an interview at Jeff with a 23 (8, 8, 7). Other than that, I found nothing.

The MSAR lists the range of scores on each subtest... i'd look it up for you but i'm at work... if anyone has a copy of the newest MSAR please post this info!

According to the 07-08 MSAR, for the last published accepted applicants, the lows were 8's for VR and BS, 7 for PS, and L for writing sample.

I wouldn't be too confident about getting an interview with less than an 8 in any section...although they may not say it outright....they want applicants who do well in all sections....and because they get so many applications every year (last year they got 8000....this year they are on pace for even more)...they can really pick and choose.

They should put something in the application requirements. They don't have it officially written anywhere. Those number ******.

I heard from someone that they average all of the mcat scores and that the mean has to be an 8 or higher for them to consider the applicant. Can anyone confirm this?

🙁 i wish they would send me an interview invite

I am also anxiously waiting for their interview invitation. By the way, the online application status is the only means to check our application status, right? After every item is checked off, all that is left is wait for interview, right?😕

I can't really say I remember exactly, but it was definately still summer. Early August, mabye?

and my interview is the first week in november (they give you a date). This is probably a good sign for everyone because there are quite a few other schools who have filled up interview spaces much later than that already.

I just interviewed at Jeff today. They specifically said they interview through April 15th and that they only interview on Wednesdays and they just started interviewing last week. So if you gotten yours don't worry. There is plenty of time left

ahh, that's good to know then... No need to be calling up for a monday or friday interview reschedule. My midweek schedule is way too lab-heavy this semester, and getting 2 flights in without missing 2 straight labs is gonna be an issue.

ps. post on the interview feedback for us. http://www.studentdoctor.net/interview/interview_read.asp
