Has anyone heard anything yet??? This waiting is KILLING me (almost as much as those native Philadelphians probably will when they get their hands on me)

they said the first batch of notifications are being sent out on the 19th. i think i interviewed on the first day.

I interviewed there the 28th (first day possible to interview) but I can't remember when they said they contact us or how? Was it by email or snail mail and I think the committee meets on the 19th, and then sends out their decision? Anyone know for certain?

um, yeah...I didn't expect to be this nervous, but I am. I hope I get a call in the next few days. I interviewed 10/12 (a week ago). I guess since it's their first notifications, they have more people to call? I'm going to keep hoping, since I know later in the season they call within a week for most people who are accepted.
I really really really really want to get an acceptance at Jeff. Here's hoping...

aaah my home number is on the AMCAS and both my parents work and my mom called me today to say that there was a phone call from jefferson on the caller ID. i hope this is good!

I may very well be in the Jefferson class of 2010. Of course I still have to figure out what my options are going to be, but I really did like Jeff, and it works out really well in a lot of ways. I was so excited to get the phone call from Dr. Callahan this morning. Made my day!
So, people who've been accepted, what are your thoughts on the school? Over the next few months (I guess into spring even) we'll all be deciding where we want to go. I liked Jefferson's curriculum, because it seems fairly integrated in the second year (not discrete blocks of courses), and their resources (lecture notes, mp3 audio, transcripts) seemed good. The students were happy. The location is nice, and easy for me to get to from where I live. I'd really like to know what their board scores average, and I'd love the opportunity to talk to some 3rd or 4th year students. I suppose over the next few months I'll be looking for that kind of info.

I think I like the emphasis on clinical care over research, that was nice. Also the hospital is beautiful. Unfortunately no one showed us any of the dorms/apartments. Did anyone see them? What were they like? Also tigress, they called my house at 9:17, they must have called us one after the other!

I live in one of the on-campus apartment buildings, and they're actually really nice, and a good price range for the area. All of the apartments have been renovated within the past few years, so they all have new appliances and such too. If you check out www.jefferson.edu/housing you can see floor plans. It's also really easy to find a good place off campus for a decent price.

I sent in all my stuff in August, and I'm above both the average GPA (3.51) and the average MCAT (31).

I called them up this morning to give them my cell phone number since they called my house yesterday and no one was there to pick up, but they didn't call me today! What's the deal? I'm getting antsy.
