Just got the good news call. I am officially finished with this med school application process.

Yes she did. I feel like a can't believe it yet. She says I will be inundated with stuff from them in the mail over the next few weeks. I can't wait to see it in writing.

I got the call in Jan and I get a big letter every week from Jeff. I cant believe that you'll get all that stuff at the same time. Props to the mailman if you do!

Congrats ForensicPath. Glad to see someone on here finally get in. I just hope there are enough spots left for the rest of us waiting in limbo, espically if you've got nothing else like me!! Hopefully my call will come soon....I might die in my sleep from the anxiety dreams I've been having.

Just curious...what kind of stuff are you getting in the mail from Jefferson? I keep getting letters about fraternity housing, but seeing as I'm going to be commuting in from the suburbs, I just toss it without really looking at it. Is there something else that I should be getting?

I haven't heard anything. I was checking out another thread, call "July is our month for waitlist" or something like that, and I found a few more people on the Jeff waitlist, but they didn't say if they were on the HP list or not. At least we know there are more of us out there. Hopefully soon... 😕

Well, bad news for those of us still holding on to the hope of getting a spot at Jeff. Dr. Callahan sent me a reply email today referring to an email I had sent to her asking for an update and an honest assessment of where I stand and whether I should start to re-apply. She told me the class is full and looks as though it is going to stay that way, with orientation only 3 or so weeks away. She told me to keep my fingers crossed though because I am still under consideration. She did tell me I would have a good shot at getting in next year though, simply because I almost got in this year. They take their High Priority wait list seriously. Alway, I hope that the rest of you out there waiting for Jeff have other spots. For the rest of us, good luck with the AMCAS and the whole damn re-application process 😡

Hi SSTACHE1, I'm sorry to hear that you have not gotten in anywhere else. I too was hopeful about getting into Jefferson, but that looks like it will not happen either. I'm lucky to have gotten into schools and looks like I will prepare for the eventuality of Drexel Med. Good luck with next year and please keep us up to date as to how you fare this year and next on SDN.
