Can't wait to meet him! 😛

I'm not all caught up in the Linsanity at the moment but I do feel some semblance of ethnic pride.

imma do my utmost to avoid knowing his name or what he looks like before i start school

that'd be such an annoying thing to have to talk about your brother in every conversation

His name is Josh Lin, and he's Asian. You're welcome

I think its something to be proud about for Josh. If I had a choice between not having a brother in the NBA and having a brother in the NBA, I'd choose the latter. Even if I have to talk about him every 5 minutes.

oh what the hell

Is the NBA brother going to pay for dental school? He should at least offer an interest-free loan.

It's funny they call him the basketball Tebow in the article, I sure hope we get some Lin-mania going to hold me over until more Tebowmania next football season.

He's no Tebow. He's actually very good.

Linsanity (Linmania) will end tonight. Kobe and the Lakers are about to end it. Amare and Melo aren't playing. Knicks will lose and Lin will be exposed as a dud.

I hope I'm not right though haha. He makes the Asian in me proud.

I agree! Even though my support for Kobe is expressed in every post I put up (awesome Kobe pic).

Kobe + Madison Square Garden = 35+ points

Kobe got 34... so close.

Lin got 38. Just saying 😀 lol

Rooting for Jeremy Lin has nothing to do with race. It is about life experiences.

For an Asian male to put up with that much **** and make it this far shows a lot.

If you are a person of a different background or your are an Asian female, then you have no clue has to what Asian men go through. Especially in sports and especially in basketball.

Go Jeremy Lin for all the nonsense you and other Asian males have overcome.

hahahahha. I was completely wrong. He proved one of his haters wrong today . I am now on the Jeremy Lin band-wagon. His performance that game was phenomenal. I don't know if any of you guys play ball, but its unbelievable how well Jeremy Lin splits the defenders when they hedge the high screen.

Hey guys,

As an Asian-American, Jeremy Lin has inspired me to pursue a career in the NBA. I will be withdrawing all my applications and seats for this cycle. Good luck.

Considering only 0.5% of NBAers are asian, I think his success does actual bring up a bit of a racial issue. Plus he said he was used to derogatory remarks at his games.

Man... now I wish I was asian so I could join the NBA 🙁

Jeremy Lin' FB page. "God is good during our ups and our downs! Glad we got the win tonight!! Thanks to landry for lettin me crash on his couch last night too lol"

still crashing at his brother's couch! lol
on a side note, crazy talent runs in their blood. Jeremy is in NBA and his brother in NYU dental school. I vote for human research on Lin family.

maybe more asians will be allowed to play NBA now. 😎

I don't know what you were trying to say or if you were joking, but the reason why there aren't a lot of Asians in the NBA is not because they aren't allowed to, it's just not many are good enough to compete. Rare exceptions are Yao and apparently Jeremy Lin. Maybe Yi will start dominating too haha.

He crashed on Landry's couch not his brothers- Landry Fields is his teammate...

Agreed. There's no barrier that says Asian's aren't allowed or we must increase the representation of URM's in basketball

If you can play ball, they'll find a way to get you on the court. You guys make it sound like there was discrimination everywhere he tried to play. He's just one of those players that fell between the cracks. It happens all the time in sports. Look at Victor Cruz or Tom Brady.

Just read these posts, and on a forum well known for insanity this is one of the most ridiculous threads...congrats

What Medical School is he going to!?

Saw a great meme using that. lolol

They said the same thing about blacks in golf until Tiger Woods showed up and dominated.

I wish I had the balls to do this. I'm a pansy though. I'm doing the path where I'm more genetically gifted in and more likely to succeed. Before college, I had a decision to make. To play at a crappy educational D3 school or go to the one I'm in now. Well, we all know what decision I decided to make lol. Being rational sucks.

Even though my fellow rational thinkers will say that 1 in X amount will do what Jeremy Lin did and most would fail. It still sucks lol. I'm Jeremy Lin's height too =P.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one "more" taken."
