I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are on just taking a month off post licensure. I have a job for as soon as I am licensed but i am considering just rejecting it and taking a month off and not worrying about anything. Problem is, I wonder if it will look bad for me when I look for something else because obviously the job I reject wouldn't take me back

Do you have loans? A family? Are you in any debt? Are you staying with your parents who foot the bill?

Remember: there are plenty of RPHs getting licensed and are ready to work as we speak.... IMO, which isn't worth 2 cents since I'm not a RPH, I wouldn't take the risk.

Unless you have a confirmed job lined up after this month's vacation, or that you have great confidence in being accepted to another job, I find that incredibly risky.
You don't want to be stuck 6 months post graduation with no job experience on your resume, it raises red flags.

DO IT! Just tell employer that your start date must be XYZ due to moving etc. If they say no then...

Do you really think taking a month off before you start working is going to solve anything? Unless you are working on something great, taking a month off will go by really fast.

Sounds like you are fearful of working...maybe in retail? I get it...it sucks big time but again, taking time off is not going to solve anything. If anything, you may end up at a crappier store since all of the good ones will be taken. Think about that....
