Yale really *could* use an international airport, Mr. Burns! An international airport makes travel easy as well.

If you aren't a member of your state psych association, you could consider joining and may then be able to reach out to individual psychologists to discuss practice-related topics, if they're up for it.Oh wow! I clearly need to be trying new approaches to this, then. lol I have NOT had that experience at all. I understand the concern about price fixing and that experience and location has to factor into things, but I just have not had much luck. Even in some personal conversations. Thanks for the tip. 🙂
Just received an email from an online company looking for therapists. They stated the expected reimbursement was $101-135+k/year for a "full caseload."
The caveats:
They also mention a first client bonus and other bonuses and incentives for high performers, but no other info is provided.
- That's 1099 income (although apparently you do get a $650/month healthcare stipend for 30+ hours/week, and also get some free CEUs)
- The lower end (101k) is for 40 hours/week "based on average working conditions;" the higher end ($136k) is for 50 hours/week
- And that's all assuming 52 work weeks/year. So no vacation.
If "average working conditions" means, let's say, 30 face-to-face hours weekly for a 40-hour work week, that means you're earning about $65/hour. But again, without benefits like PTO. So that's not really comparable to $65/hour at a salaried position with said benefits.
What is their stance on life? Good? Bad? Dali Lama stuff? Stupid name.Man, Lifestance is putting a hard press out for recruitment recently. Don't think I've received this much communication from one employer in so short a time span. How much time before this company goes under?
