Been working the interviews that past few weeks and so far have 3 solid prospects:
1 - Flex-time working as an infant aide at an adoption agency. A little worried about this because the DON said that CNA certification will not stay valid working there, so unsure if this is clinical enough, but the hours are great and the work is rewarding.
2 - PT working as a Humane Educator Specialist at a large humane society in my city. Obviously not clinical, but most of these kids are special needs and it's something I am passionate about considering I am heavily leaning towards pediatrics, particularly psychiatry.
3 - FT working as an overnight CNA at a large, well-respected children's hospital in their post-surgical ward. Great opportunity, but the hours are not ideal and initially I was told PT would be an option. I know clinical-wise, this is probably the best bet.
My question is would options 1 and 2 be solid enough as long as they are supplemented by some clinical volunteering and shadowing hours or is option 3 alone really my best bet?
