I will be finishing up the bulk of my prereqs in about 6 months. I will still take classes to help my gpa after but it will be like 2 at a time instead of a full course load. Does anyone have suggestions on finding a job that will let me take classes?

However, I have already encountered some difficulties. I finished up a masters and I have been mainly taking science classes since then. I have applied to some jobs and they ask me what I have been doing since the end of my program and when I tell them I am taking classes to go to medical school. They get this weird look on their face and basically don't hire me.

Do I need to lie about what I have done since I finished to get a job? I really do not like lying but I need to pay down my loans when I done with the bulk of my classes. I need something where the pay isnt crap either. I really want to get my loans paid off before I add more.

Suggestions? I want to start laying the groundwork now to find a good paying full time job when I am done with these classes. Thanks!

It's hard to make suggestions on a job search without knowing your background, but as to how you address the course work you've been taking- I'd suggest framing it as you have been taking the classes to sharpen your skills and/or broaden your knowledge base.

It's an honest response and that way you don't need to go into your med school aspirations

MPH with research experience ...I am open to doing anything that will pay decently

Even research positions require students a fixed amount of hours, you can't expect to waltz into a project then set time for yourselves to take classes OR applying\interviewing to schools when the time comes.

You just need to be open to everything. 👍

Obviously, however I will not be going to medical school if I can't find a job with some flexibility....which is why I need some suggestions.

Do you think they may not be hiring you because you're planning to leave? Sounds to me like that may be a factor. You could always go get a job at a university - usually reduced tuition or free classes is a benefit they provide. Or find a job in which the classes you would be taking would enhance your performance. That way you can sell it to them as a benefit to them as well as you.

???? This is a question that cannot be answered. And, I have a physics lab that needs to be finished.
