Just curious...How many podiatry students have jobs? If so, how many hours a week do you work? This might be a dumb question but I'm just curious. Thanks

I'm not a student yet, but when I raised this question to the faculty interviewing me, I was strongly advised to not do anything except schoolwork (especially for the first year).

I had a job during Podiatry School. It revolved around studying my arse off and getting the best grades I could during school.
Sorry for being coy. I guess it is possible, but I would think all you would want to focus on was studying. I did "work" for our note service, by handing it out to students and getting paid for it. I also transcribed A TON of notes for the service, which was good for making cash but also for reviewing the notes and "studying" at the same time.
Thanks for the responses so far. There's a 2 month break the first year - is there something you should absolutely be doing during that time period? I've heard - rest/relax, do research, or visit residencies (though I was also told that its way too soon for this). Thanks.
Thanks for the responses guys. I was just wondering because I signed up for an EMT class and I recently decided that I was going to apply this year, so (hopefully) start in the fall. I just didn't know if this class would be worth the money if I wont be finding a job doing it.
Very doable. I took my EMT class in one month for 6 hours each (4-10 P), while in the morning I had another class at a community college, that was during summer. I ended up with an A for the college class and passing my national registry. Do practice your skills, the written part isn't hard at all.
