This coming Fall I'm transferring to a University from CC to start on my Bachelor in Bio. The thing is, the main courses that would help me for the DAT I've taken thus far is only Gen Bio 1 and 2, Statistics, and Pre-cal. I've taken Chem, and could have passed with a C+, but at the last minute dropped out because I honestly felt like I did not learn anything from the professor who was teaching it (his teaching style greatly clashed with my learning style), and therefore I would be unready for Chem 2 starting a domino effect. So I'm a junior, and I'm greatly behind in Chem. A lot of people online say that the best time to take the DAT is Spring of junior year. Seeing as I can only take Chem 1 this coming fall, and won't even be able to reach Organic til Fall of senior year, should I delay taking the DAT, and wait to take it Spring of senior year? Or if my GPA isn't as high as I want it to be, I can wait til senior year to have time to bring it up?

Well, it sounds like you have no choice but to wait. You haven't done any organic chemistry. Some people barely squeak by having not taken OChem II, but to not take any ochem before the exam isn't wise. I took it the spring of my senior year when I was good and ready, and it paid off. I'm now in my gap year and will be entering this fall, but the past year off from school has been very beneficial and relaxing. I'm an advocate of the gap-year, so my vote is to take it in spring of senior year and apply that summer.
