I interviewed today at UCSD and when a faculty interviewer saw the applicants, he said "everyone's wearing black again!" He didn't seem upset and even chuckled a little. Take it as you will!
Last year I went to a pharm school interview, and it was like a funeral since everyone wore black 🤣

I've been trying to figure out what is the origin of men wearing ties and which idiot thought of that.
Ive had to learn how to tie them, figure out which color well represents me, which will match with my suit etc. But they are so irritating, it's suffocating at times.
Nothing at all, if you are going on a date. Interviews require "business professional" attire, and a dress without a jacket is not "business professional". If you put a nice (preferably matching) blazer over the dress, then it may be appropriate, depending on the style of the dress and the blazer.why must it be a suit? is there something wrong with knee lenght gown for ladies

On the traditional "power suit scale", the skirt suit ranks the highest, followed by the dress suit, and only then the lowly pantsuit. 🙂 Or, as my mom always used to say, "show off your legs while they are worth showing, they won't last forever" 😀I think that a dress suit is perfect. That's what I bought for my interviews and at first I was nervous that it would make me stand out in a negative way, but it was the complete opposite. I am convinced that looking feminine yet professional is the way to go when it comes to these interviews. You look and feel confident, the interviewers can tell, and I feel like they take you more seriously.
I'll never wear a black pant suit to an interview again 🙂
WELL i wore a skirt suit to my interview last week, and there was only ONE OTHER GIRL wearing a skirt. every other girl was wearing black pants. i don't know if it's because it was in florida and girls generally dress more casually down here overall, but i felt just a little awkward...! like i was wearing something inappropriate that everyone else knew not to wear...not the greatest feeling! so for interviews in florida, ladies...be warned!!
Why would you want to blend in with the rest of the interviewees?? It's good to stand out during interviews!
Next time i'm at an interview session, Im going to say the "funeral" quote. It'll make me look "cool" and "edgy"
I stressed out way too much over clothes. The problem is that I have no fashion sense so I have no confidence in the clothes I choose when I dress up. Worse, I'm growing out my hair for Locks of Love and it just doesn't look good right now. My mom tried to get me to cut it but I've been growing it out for almost two years now so I didn't want to throw in the towel after all that time.
In the end, it didn't matter. My personality came out despite my clothes and hair. As long as you look presentable, your appearance matters much less than the things that come out of your mouth.
Did you tell your interviewers about the Locks of Love? I bet they loved it.
Apparently black and white are classic and you can never go wrong with them lol
hey guys!! I have my interview for pharm school this friday and I have all the outfit planned out except for stockings... for girls did you wear stockings? Does it matter if women wear them or not to the interview ? I would wear them but my shoes slip off my heels with stockings on.
If you are wearing a skirt then I would wear them. I think it looks very unprofessional when they are not worn with a skirt to an interview.
Maybe get a different pair of shoes?
