just a note about interview attire..

Everyone was wearing black because black/grey/dark navy blue are the most professional colors, generally speaking.

You want to be remembered for substance, not style.

Express your fashion sense elsewhere.

the only reply that makes sense. although I tried to liven it up just so they can put a face with my outstanding application.

I interviewed today at UCSD and when a faculty interviewer saw the applicants, he said "everyone's wearing black again!" He didn't seem upset and even chuckled a little. Take it as you will!

Some girl wore a 'sexy secretary'-looking costume to my interview at USN.... wonder if she got in?

Oh and I wore a plain ol' H&M suit, black. My button-up was a greyish-lavendar color. Pretty boring, I know. But I have a 'loud' and eccentric personality, you can tell by the way I communicate with others. I didn't think it would be a good idea to have on anything that would make me visually stand out too much.....Looking 'loud' AND being 'loud' is a little over the top......lol

I wore a dark blue suit with a purple shirt and blue-and-purple tie. And I'm a guy. And I'm not gay. And I got in. And I don't think what I wore had anything to do with it. You can get rejected by what you wear, but not accepted.
