I feel that the PAT sections on this program are alot harder than what i faced on the real exam when I took it the first time. I scored a 19; today on my first practice test. Anyone else feel that Crack PAT was harder.

Overall, CDP is very similar to the actual exam if not a bit harder. Most is very similar except I think hole punching is easier on actual exam while pattern folding is a bit harder on the actual exam compared to CDP.

CDP hovers around what you should expect on the real thing.

I got the CRACK THE PAT about ten days ago, and have done four exams so far:

17, 18, 17, 18

I feel like i've been getting better though, especially on the top/front/side

I've never taken the real DAT, but will be in one week, on tuesday october 14th.

Hope I do well on the real deal!!!

I'd say its +/- as to what you'll really get. I was averaging 22-23 and got a 21 on the real thing. But I think most people got +1 on the real thing. So... I would say try to get your CDP up to a 20 and you will be fine.

CDP is not that much harder compared to the real exam. It's representative of the real test, a bit harder on hole punching, and keyholes only [which makes you pretty ready for the Hole-p and key-h of the DAT]. I averaged 19.55 on my CDP tests, and finally got a 20 on the real thing. Good luck

Hey guys,
I'm having a hard time with the angles and cube counting. I've been getting 14's on the other categories, but I can never pass a 9 on angles or cube counting. Anyone have any good tips. Is the real DAT angles easier or harder compared to CDP.
Also, for the cube counting, I basically use a table and count up all the cubes. But man, on some of the questions, the cubes tripped me out.

i didn't buy the crack DAT/PAT, but have taken the real DAT before. from what i've heard, the angles are larger/clearer on the real test, and the cube counting is much easier on the real test (i.e. there are no illusions on the real exam).

strategies for angles are usually either laptop or hiking. i don't really have a good explanation for either, so you may want to wait for someone who can explain them well.

for cube counting, making a table as you are doing already is the best method. on the test this worked well for me, and i didn't spend very much for the cube counting section, and think i got all of them. i would just suggest not rushing through it so much that you make careless mistakes on this section. one safeguard i used on the real test was counting the total number of cubes before tallying each section, and then adding the number of tallies in each section to make sure they were equal to the total number of cubes.

Hey thanks,

I'll try tallying it up b/c if you miss one count, the whole 3 problems will be wrong.

Now on exams 5 and 6:

22, 20 (guessed on last 9 problems due to bad time management)

4 more days till the real thing!!!🙂
