Why do some institutions like UCSF San Fran and UW Seattle not have an internal medicine Sub-I?

Thanks, I am just wondering.
Do you mean for visiting students? Because they really don't need (or honestly want) students from other schools gumming up their rotation schedule.

I went to UW. Honestly it’s because they have 250 third year students that rotate through and they have to give around 90 fourth year students a sub-I at the appropriate time. It’s no easy feat. Plus, it’s not like they are hurting for applicants for residency and get the top residents already.
