I just dropped a class I hated and only took because someone convinced me it wouldn't be "that bad" (it was).

Because we are almost 2 weeks into the quarter, I probably won't be allowed to add a class (after deadline). There IS a class that only meets once a week for 3 hours that seems decent (so they only met once).
Should I ask to be allowed to enroll in it?

I hate that I dropped a class so early... and that I dropped a class last quarter. No "W's", just looks like I didn't take these classes at all.
I also need to sort out my time issues and do VERY well this quarter.

What should I do?

I wouldn't worry about taking too few courses unless you're below full time. Med schools really don't look down on light loads. It's all about GPA.

This, this, this. The most common misconception in admissions is that med schools care about course loads. They don't. Most don't even read the pages that list what courses you took (as long as you have the prereqs!). As long as you keep a full time course load, you're fine. Focus on keeping that GPA up, if dropping a class early without a W does that it's the right call.

Okay thank you! I'll just focus on my classes and get those A's. 😉
