If you were to choose a school that you've been accepted to just on the interview meal, how would you rank them?

Personally, mine would be:
1) Columbia (a nice, classy buffet style lunch)
2) NYU (can't beat the steak or salmon sandwiches or burgers)
3) UMB (the panera boxed lunches were pretty good)
4) Buffalo (just your basic cold cuts sandwiches, chips, salads, etc)
5) Tempe (this one is last just because the voucher didn't cover a BLT bagel sandwich and a small coke!)

1) Columbia
2) UCSF
3) Penn & UW

Man, Pitt had this awesome buffet brunch in the high roller area of the event center, I thought it was great. My Columbia interview last year all we got was this little sandwich patter and warm sodas!

NYU for sure!! Tasty grilled salmon on the house?? :O

Buffalo lunch was cheap sandwiches, Temple lunch was Hale and Hearty soup (and the voucher didn't cover it all 😛), and UIC didn't provide lunch. They all fail together, but at least they're all tied for second! 😛

You guys got Panera at Maryland?? Lucky! We had some box lunches from some cafe, and they were just OK in my opinion lol

Well I wasn't accepted, but this thread is interesting...UF we had some asian stir fry stuff with egg rolls which was kinda blahhh....but Nova would definitely win- we had awesome lasagna, salad, and rolls which were all deeeelicious!

yeah, it was kinda funny. alot of people didn't know that some of the lunches contained salad instead of a sandwich, so when some people opened their boxes (myself included), we just stared at it like uhhhhhh? but then the tour guides told us we could go back and exchange it. no offense to those who like eating the leafy greens, but i hadn't eaten anything since 6:00 am and i was starving!

1. Asdoh
2. Usc
3. Bu

UTDB Houston and NYU at the top
San Antonio after that.
At UMDNJ the food was good but the dental students got to the room before us and ate a lot of it. It was still really good though.
Temple's food was a little disappointing, but I liked that we were seeing the food we would actually be eating as opposed to a meal to bribe us into liking their school haha.
Stony Brook wasn't that bad, but we each got half a wrap only as we were leaving.

I don't really remember the food they gave us at BU and Baylor. Anyone want to refresh my memory?

1. Midwestern (Got like a $9 voucher for the cafeteria. Got a BBQ burger, fries, coke, and a piece of cheesecake and then played foosball for a while)
2. UoP (Huge chicken sandwich, chips, and a drink.
3. USC (Croissant sandwiches, pickles, and cans of soda)
4. UNLV (Weird chicken enchilada pasta and burnt cookies)

4. pitt (great presentation)
4. bu (sandwiches)
4. temple (meh cafeteria food that couldnt be fully covered by vouchers)
4. unlv (cafeteria type tacos)

All are ranked fourth because they were all equally meh haha

I got spaghetti and salad with breadsticks at UNLV which is different than all these other UNLV lunches. It was actually pretty good.

I thought UW was pretty good as well - a boxed lunch with sandwiches, chips and a cookie.

1. NYU (I had steak, a sandwich, fries, parfait to go.. 2 soda.. im a fattay)
2. UPenn (the lunch in a box.. was quite delicious!)
3. Maryland (a lunch in a box again but the turkey sandwich was quite dry)
4. Columbia (a sandwich, a brownie, and a can soda)
5. BU (a sandwich, a brownie, and 2 soda.. similar to Columbia but the brownie didn't cut it)
6. UMDNJ (worst lunch ever.. the sandwich was fallin apart.. the meat looked a lil old)

NYU was the only memorable interview lunch I had.

Steak or Salmon? I didn't realize we were at Morton's. Delicious...

Worst: ASDOH

Best: Pitt; buffet was amazing!

NYU was alright.. but I was rushed to leave so I did not get much food.

1. baylor - chick-fil-a
2. the rest were equally mediocre

1) nyu for taste and selection - i had some indian curry chicken
2) pitt - great presentation with white linen clothed tables and silverware. "where am i, a wedding?"....food was ok....simple bfast

...the rest were boxed lunch/delivery pizza. bleh. i want a cheesesteak wiz with

my bad, i haven't been accepted into temple. i got carried away!

Haha! This post is awesome.

1) PITT
2) Nova Southeastern
3) Tufts
4) University of Washington
5) Case Western
6) USC
7) UNLV
8) Midwestern

Panera at Marquette was pretty tasty, very nice spread. Had a box lunch at Louisville that was just fine but not super exciting.

1. UConn. The cafeteria food was surprisingly good and surprisingly inexpensive. They gave us a $7 food voucher, and I got chicken curry with rice, a side of brussels sprouts, a banana, and a drink, and still had a couple bucks left over.
2. Harvard. They gave us a $6 voucher for the cafeteria. I got a sandwich, banana, and a drink, and had to pay and extra $1.50 or so. The food was mediocre, and more expensive than UConn, but at least I got to see what the students eat every day.
3. everywhere else (BU, Tufts, Buffalo, Iowa, UCLA) gave the same thing: cold cut sandwiches, chips, fruit, soda & bottled water, and a cookie or some type of dessert. The only difference is that UCLA just gave us tap water.

By far the best meal I've ever had in an interview was at The Ohio State Univ.
Get this:

They have a breakfast buffet AND a lunch buffet. They have drinks and pastry all the time plus all were provided by a 5 star hotel (The Blackwell). So I got to eat both breakfast and lunch (both buffet) at my interview.

SO no other interview meal compares to that.
