They asked the same questions which were on the interview feedback page at the top of SDN. Definition of social responsibility, why dentistruy, etc. I am prtty sure their questions are standardized across the board.

The interview was 2 faculty asking you questions. 1 did most of the asking, 1 did most of the note-taking. It was open-file. I felt the process to be very laid-back and even though they were asking pointed questions, the tenor seemed very conversational. Just be sure to ANSWER THE QUESTION! 🙂

The day started with intro and welcome from the Dean. Faculty was then introduced. Half of the group went on a tour with a staff member, and the other half waited for their interview. After the tour/interview, there was a Q & A with the Dean and then a boxed lunch (Quiznos) with some D1s. You will have a D1 at each table and they are available to answer questions and share experiences.

After lunch, there was a financial aid lecture and that was about it.

If you are flying in, security at Ontario is NOTHING in the early afternoon. You can check-in, and be through security in less than 30 minutes.

Best of luck, the facilities and faculty are AMAZING! They really do put the student first.

That sounds like it should be awesome. Thank you for the response, did you get in?

Yep...got an offer on Monday! Very pumped! I still have two more interviews in the next week and a half, so I may hold out a bit on the deposit - but I would be VERY happy to end up at Western! AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME school. The only reason I would not go would be for personal/family reasons, NOT school reasons.

Are you active duty Army? Or former active duty Army?

Technically I have always been a reservist but I've pretty much been on active duty since I graduated college in 2005. I hope I get in, the new facility is going to be awesome, and everything I have heard about the faculty and staff has been great and thats a big plus for me.

Your military background will give you lots to talk about in the interview. It is always great to be able to relate your past experiences to your future goals!

Yes good luck on the interview! They ask pretty specific questions which was nice and as long as you are honest you will do fine. Out of all my other interviews, I felt like Western really cared about giving back to the community and wanted to do everything so the students can succeed. Plus the new facilities will be sweet!

good luck! It's a relaxed interview they just want to get to know you 🙂

Well They called me on the 27th to invite me for an interview. Unfortunately now I have to wait a month before I interview.

Hey you guys that had an interview and got accepted, did they give you any kind of hint at the interview that the acceptance would be coming?

No hints for me. I felt the interview went really well though.
