Just got verified today

So, I just got verified yesterday after applying early August. When everyone and their mother got verified a month ago, I kept hearing about them getting secondaries "up the ass." I've got 2. Did I shoot myself in the foot by applying too late and just realized it now a month later? Did secondaries for most people come all at once or progressively throughout the week(s)? I'm a fairly calm and collected person in general. But I'd be lying if I said my palms aren't sweating right about now.

I got verified last week. I got a bunch in the first day, a most of the rest in the 2-3 days after that. AFAIK the only one I never received was Drexel

Edit: just want to add do not let SDN neuroticism get the best of you. You are only late in the context of over-achievers, for everything else you are probably just fine right now. Just get those secondaries in within the next week.

I feel like this forum WAY over-exaggerates being done with the primary as soon as it is released. Sure, it probably helps to be complete ahead of the rush and get those first few interview slots, but I feel that you will be able to get into school if you are a qualified candidate and apply at a reasonable time. I think the whole process is a crapshoot to be perfectly honest. I'll be happy landing just a few interviews.

You may have applied too late, but considering what is done is done, no point in worrying now. The number of secondaries is dependent on the schools you applied to, whether they pre screen or auto send secondaries, etc, etc. get your secondaries ready to go and keep tour turn around time to a minimum; that is all you can do.

So did you get verified today or yesterday? the title says today and your post says yesterday. Also, when did you become ready for review? If you haven't already add your info onto the verification thread so we can know exactly where amcas is on their processing (because they lie lol).

Here's the link, and don't worry about the secondaries, most schools don't filter so even if you got a 10MCAT and a 2.0 you'd likely get a lot of secondaries eventually, then promptly rejected after you pay them. lol.

I applied way later than you, but only to six or seven schools. I got secondaries from three, I think. Clearly, I got in.

You also have to consider that they may not review newly verified applications every day, especially as the volume of newly verified applications starts to taper off. They may be looking every few days or every week. Take a deep breath and relax - it's out of your hands. I suspect you'll get some. Good luck!

^ This. And keep in mind that some people are still waiting for committee letters, inidividual LORs and MCAT scores so even if they have the secondary in they may not be complete.

It took a month to get Drexel, I was verified late July and I didn't receive Drexel's secondary until late Aug.

Don't twiddle your thumbs while waiting for the secondaries. Pre-write them using the school-specific threads and have them ready to submit as soon as they roll in.

You might just be applying to slow schools. I got verified last Saturday and my inbox exploded on the following Monday. Some schools still haven't sent on to me yet though. Give it a week before you start panicking. No matter how late you are, you should still be getting secondaries.
