Just applied to two schools. I recently had my CV edited by someone; edits were made within Word. I kept the corrections and made the necessary changes the person stated.

However, I'm an idiot, and didn't realize that when you click "hide edits" or whatever, people can still see those red changes on the word document. After my applications had already been submitted, I took a look at the documents, and to my horror, my CV still had red lines all over it, where the person made their suggestions in word.

Is there anything I can do in this scenario? These aren't necessarily my top two choices, but should I just withdraw my applications for these two places? Will withdrawing before they even see the app hurt my chances at getting an interview there?

That sucks. At least it was VSAS and not ERAS.

I know that's not currently very comforting, just learn from this and make sure you quadruple check everything on ERAS when the time comes.

Might not help with the schools you've already applied for but can't you just upload a new CV to replace that one?

Honestly might even be a good thing. You now have an honest-to-God reason to email the schools you applied to and let them know about this. Also makes sure that you're on their map more than anything.
