Just received a rejection letter from Nova dated for Dec 1st

The date was marked Dec 1st... Just talked about how the addcomm had difficult decisions...

That's an extreme buzz kill...I'm really really freaked out.

I had an interview there on nov 11th to the people who PM me.

I interviewed there a week after you and they told us we wouldn't hear from them until late Dec or early Jan because they had already had a meeting regarding their initial acceptances... might as well have been a post dec 1st interview. I liked Nova but if I get accepted to another program first I won't be waiting..

Anyway, good luck, I hope you are accepted to another program 🙂

uhhh....i said they shouldnt be too suprised not that they shouldnt be sad or whatever.

Its like getting a waitlist at UNLV oos, it shouldnt be that big of a suprise when they interview like 300 people for like <50 spots....

I don't know anything about UNLV but when I interviewed at Nova, Dr. Lippman said they would be interviewing approx. 300 ppl prior to Dec. 1st. I don't know the number of acceptances they are sending Dec. 1st, but because they are private I assume it will be enough to fill the class (110-115) and then they will send more when people decline offers. He said they generally have 50% ppl pay the deposit, and that is only initially. Who knows how many will be accepted somewhere later in the cycle and back out. So to all of those waitlisted, stay positive. If you were rejected, hopefully it was only a minor setback and you will hear good news soon!

Actually ive been rejected and when i found out i wasnt too suprised. I was kinda sad but not suprised...

I wasnt trying to get you all riled up, relax....

But seriously, good luck to everyone waiting to hear from nova and everywhere else, 12/1 is in a blink of an eye!
