Just sent LORs from Interfolio to AMCAS and then got email from Interfolio saying that two letters are missing signatures

Two of the letters that I just sent into AMCAS via Interfolio apparently are missing a signature, which Interfolio didn't tell me until I sent it to AMCAS. They suggest that I contact the author an have them replace the letter. How would this work? Do I send it in again to AMCAS? Does it even actually matter if there's no signature?

Many schools will require signatures and dates on official letterhead (for schools). It's annoying they didn't let you know earlier, I think they only verify the documents after you pay for the service though. I would recommend replacing the letters now, rather than waiting for a med school to tell you to replace them. I am not sure about the process - likely have to re-send to interfolio, and then re-submit to AMCAS while deleting the old one?

Yea I didn't know because I didn't pay for Interfolio until I went to send to AMCAS. Got the email a few minutes after it was sent. So I should delete the letter from AMCAS and have the letter author replace the letter and then resend to AMCAS? One of my letters is from a group I volunteered with so I don't think he really had official letterhead

1) have letters reloaded to interfolio which will be uploaded and appended to original documents
2) signature matters and some schools will hold your application without them

Do I need to have the new letters sent to AMCAS again or will interfolio automatically send them?

I agree with gonnif - you need to go through Interfolio and you may have to verify things on AAMC's end to make sure. I'm not sure if you already assigned LOR to schools or have submitted your application, but you might have more work to do.
