Hello Everyone

hello people i gave my pt1 in december and iam still waiting anxiously for the results, dident arrive yet, though iam preparing for pt 2 the paper based at the end of march ,do you think 2 months is enough? i mean is it a time consumin exam as part 1 does?
appreciate a responce.

hi molarus and anick......

iam also waiting for my result...i gave my exam in dec
i got all the books for part2 prep but didnt start studying as iam tensed about the result...
iam planning to give the exam in april ......i think 2months with hardwork will be sufficient [thats what my friends told me]so lets give a try.

guys iam really not quite sure , is 2 month enough for part 2? is it better to take computerized or paperized? i checked out all the threads posted down the list,i found discussions about the topic, were so superficial,no body knew for sure which option is better, anyway i may take it this march the paperized form , i dont wanna spend more time reading and reading, the result will not be that different anyway.

ok everyone...congratulation to those who cleared their part 1 and are planning to work for their part 2...i dident want to post a new thread since this one already exist...lets guys begin by stating what we gonna study and how long we will spend preparing for part 2..i belive good starting will lead to a great success,so lets help each other and put down our goals and objectives...

material:
1.dental decks
2.asda papers
3.text book(it depends on your weak points)

time:
1.how many months are enough( help me out)
2 lets say 7 hours aday.

exam format
1.paper (29-30 march)
2.CBT(anytime)

for me..iam planning for taking the exam in the paperized format, not that enough time though, but i believe that taking it paperized will give you a motivation and an obligation to study and finish the exam during this period of time...while the computerized form you will always have the option to resqeduale it and hence more delay..
put down your suggestion and ,those who took the exam or are going to take it will be so thankfull if they participate and wright their inmeasurable experience.

hi everybody!
i too am in the same situation & would like to start preparation for part 2.as we already know that we have to concentrate on decks & released papers ,i wanted to know the best reference books for all subjects .anyone who has already given or plannin to give have an idea about this?please do reply .as i have no idea which books to refer.
cheers.

pearlindia..did you try kaplan book? i dident try it my self, but you might find it helpfull.

i doubt the idea that the part 2 exam is easy and it only needs few weeks, this is not true,i believe that this exam is as hard as part 1 and may be even harder, anyway i will start this oncoming week and then i will decide....how about you guys?

Hello everyone,
I passed part 1 with 82% only.I want to know anybody who has C.D. for part 2 wheather case studies or anything else apart from Decks&ASDAprints& text books. Please let me know.Good luck to all.

hi toothlord,
no i haven't seen the kaplan yet.but from what i have gathered kaplan is not very useful, but i'm not sure as i haven't seen it myself.
yet to get all the material to start reading for part 2.i too think theres a lot to cover for part 2.

i am going to start preparing for part 2 too and we could all pitch in and keep in touch over mail or whatever so we can motivate eachother.

am planning to take the cbt since i will be india during hte month of march- cbt is my only option.

i heard that kaplan is not too useful too pearlindia. i dont have it and dont plan on buying it either -although i havent looked at it myself.

i think decks and papers itself will take a v long time to finish. and we will need to brush up some of the topics with some other books.....anyone have any ideas on what books are good?

well....they said( people i know who took the exam) that you can prepare for part 2 by decks and asda papers, yet its not enough if you 've been out of practice or dental school for too long, cause many q's depends on your knowledge,so in this case you will need textbooks, otherwise you might not...

hi all

i have a doubt..... would i also need Part 1 study material while preparing for Part 2 ??? i mean is it ok if i sell off my part 1 stuff before i take the part 2 exam....Please advise...
