I submitted my application in a while ago, but my letters aren't in yet. I'm in the same boat.
I wouldn't say you applied very late. I submitted my application halfway through September and my application wasn't complete until the first week of October. I know of many other students who submitted their applications past September. Applying later is perfectly fine if you have a strong enough application to offset this.
