Scores- USMLE world average 61%, no repeats, a bit of cheating here and there but not too much. Started with like 50% though.
USMLE world last several timed blocks with no cheating... was about 62%.
NBME 1 a few weeks ago, 430 >>> 199 correlation.
Practice items done at the test center two days ago>>> 81% >>> 217 correlation (?)

Today I took the test, finished all the questions, but I felt like I knew the answer to only about 40% of them and even some of those were the best guess. It was a nightmare. I felt like it was harder than USMLE world because nothing was predictable in any way unless I had seen a similar question before, which was rare. The media items freaked me out at the end and they were hard. I feel like I failed. I looked up about 5-6 things at least that I should have known that were easy that I got wrong...

What do you think? Should I keep studying or wait for the score before I start over?

yes. but its hard. i had the same feeling when i took step 1 and was in the waiting period for 3 weeks! Even if you try to study its just not the same. I found I coudnt read sooo instead i just kept doing questions. keeps ur mind off things and its much better than busting out the kaplan books again! but in end i passed (but my experience on exam day was a good one)

hang in there! i just took it for the second time, my numbers were about the same as yours, and i felt the same way on test day. i have another 2 weeks of waiting..
i think though that the best thing is that the overwhelming majority pass, so just relax and do whatever you can to keep your mind off it. any info you lose after 3 weeks wasnt really known to you anyway, so my advise would be to lay off and see if you passed. good luck and God bless 🙂

Don't study more. You'll just burn yourself out. If you need to retake it, then deal with it then. Hope for the best until then.

i got home after the exam, looked up 10+ things and got them all wrong...end result....258. its like playing blackjack....if you win 15 hands in a row, then bet everything you won on the last hand and lose....you will only remember the last hand, and not the ridiculous streak of luck you had. im sure you did fine.

Just took it on Halloween (the absolute scariest thing I could have done on that day!!). My numbers are about the same as yours (I was crankin' out the 63s like a machine....7 in a row at the end), and I feel the exact same way about the test. First block: insanely hard, way harder than World. Every block was different, ranging from impossible, to really freaking easy (to the extent where I was sure there was a trick in there somewhere). I felt totally slammed and crappy afterward. Everyone told me that the real deal was WAY easier than World, but I felt fooled once I got in there, like everyone was playing a big joke on me. They must have gotten a different version than ours.

Apparently this is what everyone feels like, though. Hearing others' account of what their Step 2CK experience was like gives me the strength I need to get by until I get my score. Everyone feels the same way -- if they didn't, I'm pretty sure they're lying. I know I felt craptastic about Step 1 and ended up with a 231, a REALLY nice surprise. I'm trying to have faith that this will be the same.

Hang in there, don't start studying yet. I guess I'll post my results when I get 'em. If I don't....you all know why!!

I averaged about 65% on USMLEworld. I didn't find the exam to be that hard, in that I remember going back to look at about 12 marked questions on Step 1 each block, but this time only went back to about 4-5. Some blocks I had *just* enough time, while in others, I had about 20 min left. The last block was definitely the hardest.

IMO, maybe it was less hard... or maybe I just wanted to blast through that damn thing. 9 hours is a long time!

The thing that annoyed me was the questions that had nothing to do with anything I read about (quite laboriously) in my review books and such. I wish I could quote them here, but I guess that would be a violation. I wonder if the purpose of those questions was to just break the curve.

Hey guys, Im taking the CK in 2 days. Couldnt open the CD Orientation Materials because I use a Mac. What kind of questions are the media/video/audio clips?

Like most of you guys I average 60% on USMLEWORLD. Any other encouraging remarks? Im really nervous. I just discovered this forum now.

Thanks so much to anyone who gives a helpful tip...very soon I very much hope.
