You can be introverted and be fine. If you are laid back, and friendly, you'll have no problem. As far as social awkwardness, if you act friendly, you'll warm up to people, and be fine. You usually work with a small group of people on rotations, so it's easier to open up and be yourself compared to a mob of 100-200 students which can be scurry. I'm introverted, and got along with everyone. I like to interact with people, and know that when I get home, I can recharge. Also, nights/early morning time is usually nice...it's quiet and peaceful 🙂
Personally, I greatly dislike overly loud talkative people who spit out verbal diarrhea haha. Maybe not dislike...more like they drain me. There were med students like that, who when they talk usually raise their voice(like they want to hear the sound of them talking) and go on for 20 minutes. I usually talk when there is something important/interesting to say, so needless to say, they were confused why I would sit peacefully with headphones reading :/
