Just to let you guys know.. The New York Methodist program is not taking applications this year. Even though on ERAS you can apply. I spoke with the coordinator and they do not have any spots open till July 2014

Are you certain? People are reporting invites there in the interview thread.
Yeah.. I called a bunch of times and asked in person. Did they receive an open spot all of the sudden?? Can some one verify this? I will call them tomorrow again.. But I am 99% sure there is no spot.
Yeah I saw that.. I don't know what to say. I am going to call them again tomorrow.. Please call them as well and let me know.. Can anyone who applied there verify that they have indeed send out invites? And if these are the only dates than is it to late to apply now since interviews are next week?

Hmmm, this *is* weird. The invitation email (note, it was an email rather than the invitation through ERAS) *does* give out those dates - and has a "legit" return address. Silvia Gonzalez is the residency coordinator, Tel. 718-780-3677, give her a call on Monday (so will I, I am now curious, with all the travel involved - don't want to show up there and find out someone messed up!

So apparently, they are taking applications. That lady is the one who told me they were not taking any application till 2014. I called her twice before and she said the same thing, no open spots till 2014! (she said it with an attitude and a tone of annoyances). I even came to see her in person last summer to verify. However, she does not know her left from her right. They are indeed taking applications..
I hope it isn't to late as I put my application in recently. I was going to do a rotation there but last minute canceled because she told me they have no spots. So I figured why bother. This woman really messed things up for me..I'd say cost me an interview if not a potential career in rad onc😡😡.
