Hi! I just recently signed up for an account here but I've been reading this forum as a guest throughout the year just to see the range of those accepted for dpt programs. Anyways I'm applying for the 2016 class and was wondering what you guys think I need to improve.
Started off questionable first year of undergrad but took about half of the pre reqs this past year and got As.
Bachelors in kinesiology, minor in psych
cGPA ~ 3.5
pGPA ~ 3.5-3.6 for most schools
Volunteer ~ 80 outpatient at private clinic (about 2 years ago)
Signed up to volunteer at a SNF in July and plan to volunteer (about 8 hours a week) when I start but would I be able to put these hours into the application?
GRE - scheduled to take the test in August as I've been studying the Manhattan prep books
LORs - believe I will have strong LORs from two college professors however I'm unsure of good letters from PTs as I volunteered about two years ago and still plan on doing some last second hours.
Interested in mostly CA schools (csu, chapman, uop, apu, etc) as I've lived in SF my whole life.
Thanks guys!
