when do you need to have your results according to your school standards?

i am just curious

I have to have taken Step 1 by July 31 of this year. I have to pass it by July 31 of next year.

I want to say that we have to have taken it by Aug. 15--bout 3 months into 3rd year. if you fail they pull you out of rotations until you pass

We have to have taken it before starting third year (mid-June).

Before starting 3rd year in early July. I believe they just yank you from rotations if you fail and then you re-start once you pass (not sure how often people end up having to take an extra year because of that).
