Hi guys - I got notified by email...I'm an out of stater. That's about all I know at this point! My interview date is December 20th...
Maybe they send emails out at different times...I don't know much about the process. So nervous! I bet they'll be sending more out so no worries!

Okay now I'm nervous...
Congratulations! Since I heard that last year some Kansas interview invites were out in mid-November, I've been checking my email obsessively. Now I'm going to be glued to my computer...🙄

CONGRATS!!! I am definitely nervous now. But, not as nervous since everyone else on the site hasn't heard anything yet. Oh boy....I better not get too distracted parasitology exam tomorrow. Thanks for posting the update!!!! Personally, I like the interview forums to be separated by school so that you can get the info you want and is not so crowded. Did I mention I might be starting to panic?
Well now I'm really stressing. I wish that I hadn't become obsessed with this site because I'm going crazy, especially now that you've heard from KSU (Congrats BTW, rock the interview). I know that they send out waves of interview notifications but it's going to be so hard to focus on anything else. Thank goodness all my e-mail goes to my phone or I would be a complete mess and skip classes to check my e-mail every 5 seconds. Keeping my fingers crossed

Don't worry...I doubt letter of last name has anything to do with. Probably who sent their stuff in first and got into the top of the pile, or who has higher scores etc. There is TIME.
Yeah good luck everyone. I look forward to meeting some of you when you are here for your interview. I talked a bit with some of the faculty in the office today and its been very busy. Just be patient with interviews and they will come out as the weeks go by. Good luck 😀
The first letter of you last name has nothing to do with when you get your interview for K-State, so don't give up just yet!
Last year I thought I wasn't going to get an interview because all of my friends got theirs in like the second week of November and I hadn't gotten my yet. I didn't get the email for my interview until just before Thanksgiving. This year I got the e-mail for the interview on like the 5th, so I think it's pretty random.

Want a study partner for the final? I actually like his test questions....They are just HARD!! This has been one of my favorite topics. I am actually at the Law Library studying for it now. (well supposed to be if I could stop checking this forum!!)

You don't have to answer but this is one of the schools I was looking to apply to and just wanted to see kind of what they are looking for. Again Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! Good luck!

- I don't have much vet experience --- mainly just animal. I worked in a zoo, and also did a wildlife internship together around 1300 hours volunteer and 1600 hours work.
- gpa above k state averages
- gre a bit below k state averages
hmmm so the first person got theirs on Monday the 9th?? Since I haven't seen anyone new getting an interview, I wonder if they send out a wave of interviews every Monday?? AKA tomorrow??

I wonder if they're really sending out interview e-mails at all since they specifically state in their e-mail that they'll let out of state candidates know around December 1st?....
Yes, they've sent some out.
not BY 12/1....around 12/1. as in, according to the email, they were planning to START sending interview invitations out then.

nope just the email that says the application is complete and oos individuals who are invited to interview will be notified around 12/1.

Hey all if you guys start getting interviews from here and have any questions send me a private message or something I can probably help you out. I dont know TOO much around here since im from CA but I have figured it out and I know good suggestions for hotels and such during interviews. Today was the first day of snow here so its definitely cold outside. I remember when I came for my interview here it was verrrrrry chilly. Good luck all. 😀

I keep rushing back to my room to check my email at various points in the day, get excited when I see something in my inbox, get disappointed when I realize it's another student announcement about someone's lost ipod, go check SDN to see if anyone else has heard from Kansas, get nervous when I see someone has posted to this thread ("oh no, they must have sent out a wave of invites and I didn't get one!!"), feel relieved when I see it's just a post from a fellow nervous applicant, get all impatient, and spend the next few hours staring off into space dreaming about how wonderful it would be to get into vet school.... and repeat the above process.
I think the people around me who aren't vet school application-neurotic might be tempted to throw me in the lake soon though
