Just wanted to start a discussion on this I'm sure, "superior", brand-spanking new PPI, haha.

Anyone seen it in practice yet? Any benefits besides higher cost?
 
I hear it's a potent inhibitor of my desire to remember another pointless me-too drug.
 
My director likes to order one of anything new in case one of the docs in our med complex gets sold on it by a drug rep, so yeah, we've got a bottle of it. We've also still got 3 bottles of actos+met gathering dust from 2 years ago, and now some new fangled tolteridine, TOVIAZ 👍
 
the big pharmas are having a rough time these days, so what do you expect them to do besides trying to milk every $ out of every drug they can come up with? It's capitalism, can't blame for trying to make an easy buck. Besides, if the sales truly suck bad enough, they'll pull it after a year, just like Exubera.

Your director is an idiot fool. He needs a public caning. Ok, unless you work retail. Then I take back what I just said about the caning. He's still an idiot fool.
