Kaplan Bio, how much to know??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I took the Kaplan class, and what I found (and what my instructor told us near the end) was that Kaplan basically over-prepares you. I feel like I really benefitted from the review of PS and BS topics from Kaplan. It's always better to know too much than to not know enough! I found AAMC BS to be a LOT easier than Kaplan, AAMC PS is about the same (but I'm pretty bad at remembering physics equations so it might be me...)

To answer your question, Kaplan presents you with all the topics that were ever on the MCAT. So if they are giving you detail on the joints and bones, there was a question in the past that had that information. It might have been passage-based and you really didn't need the information, and I haven't seen anything of that detail in a practice test, but if you know the big picture you should be fine.

As a side note, you should supplement the Kaplan verbal with EK 101, if you weren't planning on doing that already.
