Many of you know that Kaplan's (blue book) coverage of biology is not enough. But my question is, for the material that it DOES cover, does kaplan go into enough detail? I'm trying to grasp a concept of how broad the questions are on the real DAT.

thanks!

It depends. If you're aiming for 18~20, Kaplan is enough. If you're aiming for 25+, Kaplan is not enough.

I took my DATs yesterday with Kaplan alone and scored well above 20 in Bio. On the Kaplan practice tests I scored 5-7 points lower.
