I just bought all the Kaplan review notes books, flashcards etc., from someone who took the Kaplan online course. But I'm finding it hard to stick to a study schedule ... should I just take the course? Are the online practice tests & lecture videos worth it?

I took the full kaplan course, and I found that the kaplan blue book and the online material were extremely helpful. The Kaplan blue book was the only book that i used to study (I didn't use cliffs or destroyer). In my opinion, it was very good. The kaplan online material was absolutely essential to my study strategy. I suggest purchasing only the online material. However, it's still very pricey (~$1200). So it's up to you. I'm sure you can still do pretty well without it. But, for what it's worth, I'm very sure that I wouldn't have gotten my score without that online material.

If you got the books and the notes don't even bother wasting the money on the course. i would say spend the money on other resources, especially: Cliffs AP Bio, DAT Destroyer, CDP. I feel it's never good to rely on one source because you could ask a question in a bunch of different way. Expose yourself to as many resources as you can and make your own study schedule. it's never good to go on a regimen of someone else's, you have to feel out the material first and then find out how you work best.

I think the blue book is very helpful. Use it as the outline and go back to your textbooks if you don't understand any topic. I didn't take the class though.
I also used Top score, Barron's AP bio, destroyer, achiever.

Same here. Didn't take the class, used the KBB as a guideline of what material to study, but mainly used the Top Score and DAT Achiever tests (as well as five additional practice tests I had) to figure out my weak areas. Those tests will give you more than enough information to do well imo.
