So, I keep hearing from people that the COMLEX q bank does not represent how the real exam is going to be. Can anyone clarify how and/or why this is true?

If this is the case, would it be a bad idea to rely on the qbank as an indication of your performance on the real test?

I agree with what you have been hearing. I am about 75% done with the COMLEX Qbank and have gotten 94% correct. This can not be in any way indicative of the real test. If you want to know what the real test will be like, purchase the COMLEX Level 1 Practice Items booklet. I think it costs $8 and there are 200 previously used COMLEX questions in there with answers but no explanations. These I have found to be more difficult than the Kaplan COMLEX Qbank.

If anyone knows of anymore good COMLEX question sources please let me know. Thanks.

I might have to call BS on the 94% :) Unless you've just been repeating the same questions.

Nope, I've been studying since last November and started Qbank in February after my first time through all the material. Started out a little rough, but then got better when I learned more with second year classes. Is there any correlation out there between % correct on COMLEX Qbank and actual COMLEX score??

So if this is the case...why take COMLEX q-bank questions from Kaplan? I've been in the mid 70's to low 80's and was wondering the same thing. Is it representative of what I will see when i take the Comlex?

ANY INPUT????

Kaplan qbank OMM questions were awful, but otherwise, the qbank isn't all that bad. I finished the entire qbank last year as well as most of the qbook stuff. My qbank scores were anywhere from 60-97% it just depends on the batch of questions you get. I think my average was either upper 70s or low 80s at the end (didn't repeat any questions). Qbook questions are way harder but good study material (I'd be happy with 60% on qbook). Studied for 4wks and kicked some major butt on COMLEX (600s/90s). Good luck!
P.S. GO DMU!
