If you can pace yourself and keep up with the schedule do the SN2ed. If it's difficult for you to sit down and study and adhere to a schedule then the Kaplan course might be a better option. The review materials complement each other well.

I used Kaplan online primarily for their online resources. I didn't really pay attention to the lectures. The online resources include all of the aamc practice exams (which are about $35 a piece if you bought them from aamc), the self assessment ($104), a bunch of Kaplan exams, which in my opinion are harder than the aamc ones, a ton of individual section tests (i.e. physical science, biological science, verbal), many quizzes and a question bank where you can design your own tests. They also give you books, which aren't the best but are alright I guess?

If it's just for the online material, I don't think it's worth the money. Even though you have all of the books, the AAMC practice tests and self assessments cost quite a bit. Additionally, there's still your eventual med school app and interview fees for your parents to help finance.

What about someone who is thinking about taking a 5-unit microbio course during august? Do you guys recommend continuing the SN2ed plan or just play it safe and have NO classes at all? I have to register for classes and micro fills up pretty fast... So figured I'd take one course and ill be about 2/3 the way through SN2ed by August...Any recommendations?

If it's just one course it hopefully shouldn't be too bad, especially if you aren't taking any others. But again, a lot depends on frequency of exams, amount of weekly work (assignments, homework, reading, etc.)
