HCF3 "is capable of hydrogen bonds"

"HCN is not capable of hydrogen bonds because the hydrogen is not bonded to an electronegative element in HCN."

H-C-N H-C-F3

In both cases, H is not bonded to an EN element.

The question asks which molecule is least affected by H bonding in heat of vaporization experiments with HCN and HCF3 as the two choices I was debating between.

Shouldn't both be almost equally "least" affected as neither forms H bonds?

From 10th grade chemistry class I was tought: "Hydrogen bonding is FON" - flourine, oxygen, nitrogen. So I guess HCF3 can H-bond with itself to some degree. HCN will just ionize in water into H+ and CN-
