Hey guys

As I approach the end of my 2nd year, I am pretty nervous about Step 1. I have pretty low grades, and I had to take 3 leaves during my first 2 years...so it's been a long while since biochem/physio/etc. I am curious to know if anyone has done the extended prep. It seems like 4 hours of lecture plus 4 hours of facilitated small group is a superior way to "review" (read: "re-learn") material, as compared to 6 weeks of 7-8 hour lectures. If you've done this, or have anecdotal info from a friend or whatever, could you post it or PM me? Thanks!

A good friend of mine just did the Extended Review in Illinois. He raves about it. He had originally signed up for the Step 1 retreat, where everyone lives in a hotel. However, he quickly realized that it wasn't for him, and opted to do this review instead. From what he has told me it was perfect for him. From reading your brief bio about yourself, I think that you are well suited for the Extended Prep. It's darn expensive, but it pays for itself in spades when you pass. Best of luck!
