Here's the breakdown of AAMC vs Kaplan curve
AAMC CBT 4
PS 10 = 81%
BS 11 = 83%

Kaplan FL 3
PS 11 = 67%
BS 13 = 79%

I know there is some variance among different versions of the test. But isn't this too much variance? What are your thoughts? This appears like Kaplan's marketing strategy to make it appear students are actually improving by being overly lenient on the curve.

Kaplan has more difficult content than AAMC- I averaged a 33 on all AAMC exams (32-36) and a 32 on 4 Kaplan exams. Make of that what you want but I think Kaplan's stuff is more difficult...

yeah Kaplan has more difficult problems than AAMC... thus the curve difference. I am getting pretty much similar scaled scores whether I am taking Kaplan or AAMC tests so their scaling is fare.

Kaplan is harder especially on the PS. Way more calculations.

I suggest take the scores and just try to learn how to take the test.

If your scores are there, then relax and prepare as if the Kaplan is the real one with the AAMC scale.

Don't focus on the score as much as getting the feel and knowing why and how the concepts work.

I feel my scores are inflated as hell on both of them.

I guess it is better than the other way around though!!😀

BTW, many think the real MCAT is between the two: sort of, maybe...

Who knows? It depends on what you get. :luck:
