Is it possible to acquire the Kaplan full lengths without actually being in their course? I hear they are a good indicator of your performance on the actual test.

The AAMC full lengths are more indicative. I've heard that Kaplan inflates your score by a couple points on average.

Though I did not take Kaplan, I've heard the same (inflated scores). I used the TBR CBTs as well as the AAMC practice exams, and something about the TBR tests felt... off. Kind of like store-brand Lucky Charms. Tastes almost the same, but doesn't give you the true experience. My TBR scores varied relatively widely compared to my AAMC scores. I ended up scoring within one point of my highest AAMC practice score. I think my highest TBR score was 3 points lower than my actual score.

^^^I've heard that TBR verbal practice was very different from actual MCAT verbal, which might be why.

Kaplan tends to report inflated scores since they have a very generous scale.

I actually took a kaplan course before my mcat and took around 7 of their full lengths, in addition to all of the AAMCs. For me, my kaplan practice averages were spot on with my actual score. The thing with kaplan is that, they make the questions very difficult and then give you a generous curve, whereas the AAMCs are easier with a stricter curve. To be honest, the actual mcat I took was more similar to my kaplan practice tests.
