Hi, all. Quick question for the people who used kaplan for gchem. Is the method/language they use to ask some of their questions the same as the actual DAT? I took gchem 1 and 2 and school and we never did "normality" and "equivalents". Are those specific terms used on the real DAT? I guess the same question applies to their shortcut techniques for some gchem problems as well.

Thanks.

The class (and the book to some extent).

Basically, if someone could tell me if the words "normality" and "equivalents" are seen on the actual DAT, that would suffice.

Thanks.

I did not get a normality question at least I don't remember but the question is fair game.

Normality is grams per liter.

I never even see saw an equivalent question from kaplan.

But anyhow, I found kaplan gchem to be much more work than the actual test.

Their stuff is way too consuming and harder is not representative of the DAT. on some problems it wasn't possible to estimate the answer you had to work it out completely. But if you can do the problems from kaplan and understand them you will have much easier time on the DAT.

I found gchem in DAT destroyer to be somewhat more representative of the actual exam.
