For those of you who've invoked hsg, are there any reasons why I wouldn't be able to retake the course again? I've completed all my assignments and I've taken all the tests and attended every class. I called my coordinator and she said, among other things, that she'll have to see my lesson book to see if I've done everything. Do I have to have taken notes or something? And there wasn't much to do outside of the class in the lesson book. Also, I usually don't write things I already know, and I'm afraid she's going to deny me a retake after seeing my lesson book.

wow that's sorta crappy! my friend retook with no problems!

maybe, if you have some friends in the same class, you can ask to "borrow" their lesson book if they filled it up with notes and stuff. You should def. be able to retake the class. try going over her head to a higher authority. I'm pretty sure Kaplan values its customer opinion of their service.

That reminds me - i need to log into my syllabus and check everything off!! haha. Don't forget to take all the online quizzes!!

Does it matter if you get 0% right on the quizzes? haha
When is this thing due anyway?

what I really hope they don't come to know is, how long it took me to do each workshop. Because for the writing workshops, which I didn't feel like spending too much time on, I would just skim like hell. I hope she doesn't have a log of some sort. man.

kaplans methods are a sham. if they didn't work the first time, they won't the second time either, particularly their verbal methods. you wasted 1500 or whatever it was the first time. don't waste the hours the second time.

I'm actually taking the august test and while I started out studying for the april one, I just didn't think my basic foundation was good enough, which is why I moved to august.
I haven't really worked on most of the practice items, but even with the few practice tests, I could see improvement. I can't comment on their strategy as yet, but their resources are quite helpful, and there are almost 12-13 full lengths, along with a LOT of topicals, subject tests...I think it has, and will help me tremendously. I think it was worth it... atleast for me.
