Just wondering if anyone of you guys have noticed Kaplan OChem Subject test errors:

OChem Subject Test 3:
Q6: Aren't A and D are syn addition?
My opinion: C is the correct answer since bromination is an anti addition which is corresponding to answer C.

Q20: Hexane, 1,2-dichloroethane, and t-butyl chloride will give only single proton NMR signal. I double-checked with ChemBioDraw Ultra by 1H NMR prediction. Only 2-methyl-2-butane give multiple signals.

I really appreciate your clarifications!!! 😉

Q6 is not an error.
U r right that it should be syn addition.
However, we call it uhm...was it fish guy or new guy or whatever.
anyway u gotta visualize it like fish or new guy and think.

Q20. Hexane has 3, not 1.

C-C-C-C-C-C
left 3 and right 3 are symmetrical to each other
but 1st, 2nd, 3rd are different from each other so we got 3 diff types.
