Ok, random question (consider it a break from the barrage of AMCAS-related ones) but does anybody know how much Kaplan pays for teaching in the Washington, DC metro area? I'm looking into teaching MCAT stuff for them, but I'm curious how much they pay. Any ideas?

The easiest thing to do would be to talk to the people who will be doing your teacher training. They can give you all the details about pay. If you have any questions about working for the company feel free to get in touch.

Should be between 12-19/hour depending on how competitive your score and how hard you push for good pay. Note though that preparing for each class takes around 1-3 hours and you only get paid 7/hour for that. So in reality you could be only making 10-12/hour.

My boyfriend teaches for Kaplan and gets paid just over $20 an hour for teaching time, and $7 an hour for prep time. They limit how many hours of prep time you can charge for per week. He teaches all the sections, so it can get exhausting as a second job, but he really enjoys teaching.
