hello there

i am planning to give step 1 on January 18.

Will definitely practice UWorld in last 18 days, as Uworld is the standard.
I wanted advice on whether practicing Kaplan Qbank during preparation in these two months is worth it or not ?

is there anyone who has recently taken Kaplan Qbank who may advice on this ?

I got it two days ago and I am writing in February. I can't tell you how beneficial it is because I haven't written the real one yet! What I can say, is that if you use it to study concepts, then it will definitely benefit you, the more you know the better you will do, it's as simple as that...For me at least, learning something through a question is much easier then learning by reading. Yesterday I got reminded that biliary cirrhosis has anti mitchochondrial antibodies and I know I won't be forgetting that anytime soon. On the other hand I could have read first aid's GI tract 4 times and still missed a fact like this.

My question to you about uworld, r u capable of doing 2000 questions in 18 days?? I would get it at least a month before.

i was also thinking along the same lines....this seems to be really logical...that you are actually doing it, it has reaffirmed my thinking on this.

i have also thought on the question you raised regarding number of days required to do Uworld....

my plan is that i will decide based on my experience within 2-3 days of starting Uworld.

within 3 days i will be able to have an idea of number of days required to do U world (and i really want to do Uworld to the best extent possible; have 18 days full free...)....then i will decide whether to give step 1 on jan 18 or postpone (have Dec-Jan-Feb slot) the exam to practice more of Uworld
